Dear Parents:
One of the students in your child’s class has a severe peanut allergy. This allergy can be life threatening. I am writing to ask you for your help. I am requesting that you not send in any snacks/meals containing peanut products for your child or for the class. For people who are allergic to peanuts, even the smell of peanuts can be enough to cause a reaction.
We understand this may cause some inconvenience, but we are certain you will agree that these precautions are worthwhile compared to the risk of endangering a child’s life.
Thank you for your cooperation.
